We recommend high resolution Digital Retinal Screening. This method can often be performed without the use of the dilation eye drops and can provide a more detailed and accurate picture than the conventional hand drawn documentation. This test should be done every year, for the health of the eye can change at any time, often without symptoms. Depending on each patient’s specific medical needs, our doctors may recommend both Digital Retinal Screening and Dilation.     This is a common source of confusion in most eye care clinics. Contact lenses are medical devices that require proper care and monitoring to ensure good vision and ocular health. A contact lens fitting is the time, additional tests, and knowledge required to prescribe the most appropriate contact lenses for you and your eyes. This service is in addition to your annual eye health exam and is typically not covered by vision insurance plans.
